What is IRCA and why is it important?
March 10th, 2019 By MarketingWhen choosing an ISO consultancy, looking for one with IRCA-qualified auditors is important. But what is IRCA, and why is it important?
What is IRCA?
IRCA stands for the International Register of Certificated Auditors. IRCA is the world’s original and largest international certification body for auditors of management systems and is a division of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).
Located in the UK in the centre of London, IRCA has certified more than 14,750 auditors in over 150 countries worldwide. IRCA provides auditors, businesses, and industries with certification of auditors of management systems and approval of training and certification organisations.
Why is IRCA certification important for ISOs?
As the world’s largest certification body for auditors, being IRCA certified means quality assurance. If you’re a company looking to become ISO certified, whether that is ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or any other ISO certification, you will want to ensure your ISO consultancy is working to the highest standard.
